These terms are the rules for using mypakistan.online and the pages under it (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Each MyPakistan app (for example Taleem, People, Business, Sehat or Sarkar) may have its own terms as well; where they say something different, the app's own terms apply to that app.
1. What MyPakistan is
MyPakistan is a free collection of everyday tools for people in Pakistan: today's rates and prayer times, a directory of official websites, a news page that links to Pakistani news outlets, an ideas board, and separate apps. The site is still being built. Features can change, pause or stop at any time.
2. Your MyPakistan ID account
- Most of the site works without an account. A MyPakistan ID lets you sign in once across MyPakistan apps and keep settings such as your news interests.
- Give true details, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. You can ask us to close your account at any time (see Contact).
3. Ideas, feedback and votes
- When you send an idea, feedback or a rating, you allow us to read it, use it to improve the site, and show it (without your email) on the ideas board if it is an idea for everyone to vote on.
- We moderate before anything is published. We may edit for length or clarity, merge similar ideas, or decline to publish. We remove anything abusive, hateful, sectarian, obscene, defamatory, private (such as someone's phone number or CNIC), unlawful or commercial spam.
- One vote per idea per browser. Please do not use tricks to vote many times.
4. News headlines and links to other websites
Headlines come from third-party news outlets. We only link to their websites; the stories, opinions and images belong to them. MyPakistan does not write, edit or endorse them.
- The News page shows headlines that outlets publish in their own public RSS feeds: the headline as published, the outlet's name, the time and a link to the story on the outlet's own website. We do not copy articles, write summaries or change headlines.
- We sort headlines automatically (by time, topic and region) and leave out headlines with graphic or sensational words. Sorting is done by a computer and can be wrong; a topic label is our guess, not the outlet's.
- Pictures marked "Illustration" are our own topic images. They are not photos of the story. Where an outlet's terms allow it, a picture from that outlet's feed is shown with its name and loads from the outlet's own server.
- Outlets and other linked websites are independent. We are not responsible for what they publish, for their accuracy, for their privacy practices or for anything you do on their sites.
- Outlets: if you would like your headlines removed, shown differently or credited in another way, tell us (see Contact) and we will act promptly, normally within 3 working days.
- The Trusted links directory lists official websites that we checked. Listing a site is not an endorsement, and websites can change after we check them.
5. Prices, rates, prayer times and other figures
Exchange rates, fuel and gold prices, kitchen prices, weather, prayer times, Hijri dates, cricket fixtures and similar figures are for general information only. Each figure names its source and date. Official and market figures change, can be published late, and may differ from what a bank, shop, mosque or government office tells you. Always check with the official source before you rely on a figure for money, travel, health or religious practice.
6. Paying through MyPakistan Pay
Some MyPakistan apps let you pay for something (for example a fee, a booking or a product) on our checkout pages at pay.mypakistan.online ("MyPakistan Pay").
- Who you pay and for what. The checkout page names the MyPakistan app you are paying and what for. That app's own terms say what you get, when, and its cancellation and refund rules.
- Who handles the money. Payments are made on the pages of licensed Pakistani payment providers (JazzCash, Easypaisa, Safepay or PayFast), and their terms apply too. MyPakistan never sees or stores your card number, CVV, PIN, one-time code or wallet password.
- Price. Amounts are in Pakistani rupees. The amount on the checkout page is the amount you are asked to pay; if a provider or your bank adds its own charge, it shows it to you before you confirm.
- When an order counts as paid. Only when the provider confirms the payment to us. You then see a receipt number (for example MPP-2026-000123). A voucher or pay-later link expires at the time shown; after that, please start again.
- If something goes wrong. If money left your account but the order does not show as paid, or you were charged twice, contact us with the receipt or reference number. We check with the provider, normally within 3 working days, and refund any amount taken by mistake.
- Refunds. Refunds follow the app's refund rules and go back to the way you paid. How long the money takes to reach you depends on the provider and your bank (often up to 14 working days).
- Safety. We may refuse or cancel a payment that looks fraudulent or breaks these terms, and we keep payment records as the law requires.
- While MyPakistan is in development, payments are test payments: the checkout page says "Test order" and no real money is taken.
7. Fair use of the site
Please do not:
- break the law of Pakistan when using the site, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA);
- post anything abusive, threatening, hateful, sectarian, obscene or defamatory, or anyone's private information;
- try to get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or test our security without our written permission;
- overload the site, scrape it in bulk, or copy its directories or datasets to run a competing service;
- pretend to be MyPakistan, an outlet, an official body or another person.
8. Our content, your content and takedowns
- The site's design, text, code and our own images belong to MyPakistan or are used under licence (photos: Magnific stock licence; some illustrations made with AI tools). Headlines, names and trademarks of outlets and organisations belong to their owners.
- If you believe something on the site infringes your rights (copyright, trademark, privacy), tell us what it is, where it appears and why, and how to reach you. We will look into it and, where appropriate, remove or change it.
9. No guarantee
The site is provided free and "as it is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, complete or up to date, or that any figure, headline or link is correct.
10. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, MyPakistan is not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its information, or using a website it links to. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited under Pakistani law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will say so on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If there is a problem, please contact us first so we can try to solve it. Any dispute that cannot be solved this way will be dealt with by the competent courts of Pakistan.
